Colchester, Essex - Colchester Military Festival 2009
'Colchester Military Festival' at Abbey Fields (off Mersea Road), Colchester, Essex.
Display time - 11.00am & 17.00
Following the success of last years event, 30,000 people are expected to attend the 2009 Colchester Military Festival at Abbeyfield on Saturday 18th July 2009. The 2009 event is set to be the most spectacular yet offering a day of unique entertainment for the entire family.
This years attractions will include a Spitfire display, the Red Devils Parachute Display Team, Bold Dog Lings and Imps Motorcycle Display Teams, Military Bands with battle re-enactments from Event Plan.
16 Air Assault Brigade will be on show giving visitors a unique insight into the British Army as well as providing a range of activities for both young and old alike. There will be both vintage and classic vehicles on display as well as a wide range of trade stands. The day will culminate in a grand finale supported by massed bands a gun salute, and a helicopter flypast.
