Jenny samples the high life
A midwife donned a red jumpsuit to raise money for Colchester General Hospital.
Jenny Collins Raised £3,400 in a 13,000ft parachute jump with the Red Devils to buy equipment for the maternity service at the hospital.
"I've never had a head for heights and avoid going up a ladder if I can, but I wasn't particularly nervous before the jump itself because everyone was so professional, friendly and chatty, and made me feel relaxed. When we jumped, for the first four seconds I was absolutely terrified. However, after I realised I wasnt going to die, I actually began to enjoy the freefall, which lasted about 45 seconds".
With the support of the Red Devils, who raised £2,500 local residents and staff, she was able to raise £3,400 and buy much needed equipment for the maternity ward.
